ClubGG Review: Pros, Cons and Who It's For

In short: ClubGG is a feature-rich private-club poker app, great for home games and running tournaments with people you know. But its store ratings are low, the listing is English-only, and the platform itself is free play only, so the “real-money clubs” you read about online carry risks you need to understand.

The verdict first

Pros

  • Free to download and join clubs, and easy to start your own
  • Wide game range: NLH, PLO, PLO5, Short Deck, multi-day and PKO events, and now Cucurucho
  • GG-grade tools: PokerCraft, Smart HUD, EV Cashout, Rabbit Hunt
  • Runs on iOS, Android, Windows and Mac; up to 4 tables at once on mobile
  • Frequent updates: login 2FA, GGPass Universal Authentication and PC Screen Guard arrived during 2025–2026
  • Membership events can win WSOP Circuit $1,700 tickets

Cons

  • Store listing is English-only, and the terms require English in table chat
  • Low store ratings, with complaints about fairness and real-money disputes
  • Fairness and management vary widely from club to club
  • Free play only: off-platform money arrangements in clubs have no protection at all
  • Not on the App Store in mainland China or South Korea
  • Conflicting official wording on membership refunds

What kind of product ClubGG is

ClubGG was created by the GGPoker Network and is operated by NSUS Group Inc (Ontario, Canada); the app developer is listed as NSUS Ltd. It isn't a poker room where everyone shares one lobby. It's a tool for running private games: the Club Master decides the tables, stakes and tournament settings, and members apply to join with a Club ID. Clubs can also team up in unions to share tables; ClubGG claims 120+ active unions and 2M+ users.

The terms say “free play only”: no deposits, and club chips have no cash value. Everything you can pay for is optional: Diamonds ($0.99–$99.99), Club Levels, and WSOP+ membership ($9.99 / $49.99 a month).

Store ratings (as of 30 October 2026)

StoreRatingRatings
App Store, US2.7 ★about 1,070
App Store, Taiwan2.3 ★154
App Store, Hong Kong2.2 ★75
Google Play3.3 ★about 2,670

Google Play shows 500K+ downloads. The age ratings disagree: the App Store says 18+, Google Play says Teen. The Terms of Service require players to be 18+, and that's the rule that counts.

Two themes come up again and again in negative reviews. One is suspicion that deals are rigged or that players collude; that's personal opinion we can't verify. The other is people describing Telegram admins who take deposits by bank transfer or crypto, which illustrates exactly the risk of off-platform deals. See Is ClubGG real money?

What it's like to use

Games and tables

The confirmed games are Hold'em, 4- and 5-card Omaha, Short Deck and tournaments, subject to what your club runs; the full table is in ClubGG games. Cucurucho, added in October 2026, drops a fast “ante, instant flop, pot or fold” hand into normal ring games at set intervals.

Security

Accounts use GG Pass. Login 2FA arrived in August 2025, and the PC client got Screen Guard, which blocks screenshots and recording of tables, in October 2026. ClubGG says its RNG is certified by BMM Testlabs but doesn't publish the certificate. Union admins can see members' login and device records, which helps them spot suspicious accounts.

Interface and language

Every storefront lists English only, and ClubGG hasn't said whether the client offers other languages. For many non-English speakers that's the biggest hurdle.

Data from App Store metadata on 30 October 2026. ClubGG stands out for its GG-grade features and WSOP-linked membership events; language is its weak spot. As for which app has “more action” or “lower rake”, there's no independent data, and most comparisons online are affiliate pages.

Who it suits, and who it doesn't

Good fitFriends, colleagues and poker groups who want private games; organisers running tournaments and larger clubs; players chasing WSOP Circuit tickets through membership events.
Poor fitAnyone looking for a regulated real-money poker room (ClubGG isn't one); players who can't use an English interface; people in places where online gambling is banned.

Our take

As a tool for running games, ClubGG has one of the most complete feature sets in its category, and the GG technology shows. The problem isn't the software, it's the ecosystem: the platform is free play only, yet some clubs run private money operations, ClubGG doesn't step in when things go wrong, and many bad reviews come from exactly that. So our advice is simple: play it with people you know, and never hand money to an “agent” you don't. For how it differs from GGPoker see ClubGG vs GGPoker, and for whether membership pays off see WSOP+ membership.

FAQ

Is ClubGG any good? Is it worth downloading?
If you want private games with friends and your own rules and tournaments, ClubGG is one of the most complete options: Hold'em, Omaha, Short Deck, multi-day events and Cucurucho, plus PokerCraft and Smart HUD. Downloading and playing in clubs is free, so trying it costs nothing.
Why are ClubGG's ratings so low?
As of 30 October 2026 it has 2.7 stars on the US App Store and 3.3 on Google Play. Common complaints are suspected rigging or collusion and people using clubs for real-money deals. These are individual claims we can't verify, but they're a good reason to choose clubs carefully.
Is ClubGG a scam?
The app itself isn't: it's operated by NSUS Group Inc and listed normally on the App Store and Google Play. The risk comes from individuals and “agents” inside clubs, for example taking money for chips and disappearing. See Is ClubGG safe?
Is ClubGG legit for players outside the US?
The Terms of Service are US-focused: the company makes no promise the software is appropriate or available outside the US, and access from elsewhere is at your own risk. Store availability also varies; see where ClubGG is available.
How does ClubGG compare with PPPoker and PokerBROS?
By their App Store listings, PPPoker, PokerBROS and X-Poker are localised into many languages while ClubGG is English-only. ClubGG's edge is GG-grade features (PokerCraft, Smart HUD, EV Cashout) and membership events tied to WSOP tickets. There's no independent traffic or rake data comparing them.
