Cucurucho on ClubGG: How the New Mode Works

Cucurucho is a ring-game mode ClubGG added on 21 October 2026. Your regular game carries on, and at set intervals a special hand kicks in: everyone antes, the flop comes immediately, and you either bet the pot or fold. The turn and river then run out with no more betting.

How a Cucurucho hand plays

When a Cucurucho hand triggers, the normal rules step aside and the hand runs in four steps:

  1. Everyone antes. Before any cards are dealt, every player at the table puts in the set ante, so the pot is built up front.
  2. Hole cards and flop together. There is no pre-flop betting round. The three flop cards come out straight away, so you see the board before you commit anything else.
  3. One decision: Pot or Fold. On the flop each player has exactly two options: bet the size of the pot, or fold. No checking, no limping, no min-raising.
  4. Turn and river, no betting. Once the flop action is done, the turn and river are dealt with no further betting rounds, and the pot is awarded.
Between Cucurucho hands the table plays as a normal ring game. It's an interruption, not a different game for the whole session.

What the table settings control

SettingWhat it does
Ante amountHow much each player puts in when a Cucurucho hand triggers
Trigger intervalHow often it happens, by number of hands played or by time elapsed
Single / Double BoardDouble Board deals two runouts, with more ways to scoop or split the pot

To set one up: open your club → table creation menu → Ring Game → Game Mode Cucurucho → set the ante, trigger interval and board option → create. Whether you can do this depends on your role and permissions in the club; see creating a club for how roles work.

How to think about the hand

Because nobody bets after the flop, your equity on the flop is essentially the whole decision. Betting the pot means paying a fixed price to see the turn and river, so the question is whether your chances of winning justify it.

  • Example: you hold A♠K♥ on K♦7♣2♠. Top pair, top kicker is normally a clear “Pot”.
  • Example: you hold 9♥8♥ on A♥5♥K♣. A flush draw has 9 outs and hits by the river about 35% of the time; how many players are in and whether someone has already bet should decide it.

Work out outs and equity with our poker odds calculator, and brush up on hand rankings if you need to.

ClubGG hasn't published some details: how later players respond after someone has already bet the pot, what happens when a player is short of a pot-sized bet, and whether these hands are raked. Read the table info before you sit down rather than guessing.

Who will like it

Players who want speed and simple, high-stakes decisions will enjoy Cucurucho, and Club Masters get another way to keep their tables lively. If you prefer deep pre-flop and turn/river play, just pick a regular table without it. The other formats are in ClubGG games.

FAQ

Is every hand a Cucurucho hand?
No. It sits inside a normal ring game and only triggers at the interval the table is set to, which can be a number of hands or an amount of time. Between triggers you play regular hands.
Can you check or min-raise in a Cucurucho hand?
No. ClubGG's announcement is explicit: on the flop you have two options, bet the size of the pot or fold. No checking, no limping, no min-raising.
How is the pot split on a double board?
ClubGG only says Double Board deals two runouts, giving players more ways to scoop or split the pot. The exact split rules aren't published, so check the table info in the app.
Can I open a Cucurucho table myself?
Yes, if you have table-creation permission in your club (the Club Master or a manager they've authorised). In the club's table creation menu choose Ring Game, then pick Cucurucho as the Game Mode.
Is Cucurucho good for beginners?
ClubGG says the simple structure makes it easy for newer players to jump in, while action-loving regulars will find it a change of pace. With no betting after the flop, a beginner only has to get one decision right.
